How CSE works

A walkthrough for the people who run the show, not the people who built it. Pick a persona below to see what they sign in as, where they go, and what they actually do on a typical day. Same show, same neighbors, same vibe — just phones in place of clipboards.

One sign-in, all roles

There is exactly one place to sign in. Every role — car owner, attendee, gate volunteer, judge, DJ, vendor, organizer — uses the same form with their issued email + password. The system reads the user's role membership and routes them to the right starting page automatically.

Universal sign-in URLOpen
  • Each persona below shows a ?next=/path deep-link so the user lands in the right place after auth.
  • The livingston4th subdomain isn't a separate login — it's how the platform identifies which tenant the user is signing in to.
  • Today this admin app is un-gated in dev — when auth lands here it will share the same eventide_session cookie, not a separate login.

Pick a persona

Start here. Each persona shows their own login, their walkthrough, and quick links to where they live in the system.

Clear selection

Judge

Each judge sees only the cars assigned to them in their class scope. Sunlight-readable dark theme, one car at a time, sliders 0–10 for each rubric category. Auto-save — phone dies, scores stay.

What this persona can do

  • Personal queue — only the cars assigned to this judge's class scope.
  • Sliders for each rubric category (Exterior, Interior, Engine, Wheels, Presentation). Tap-and-drag, no typing.
  • Auto-save on every change. A tiny checkmark confirms the save.
  • Header shows display number + photo thumbnail so the judge confirms they're scoring the right car.
  • Tap the photo to open the build sheet in a lightbox.
  • Notes field for written feedback to the owner.
  • Single full-width "Save & Next Car" button at the bottom.

Walkthrough

5 steps

10:00 AM — judging starts

  1. Open the judge queue

Sign in on a phone. The queue shows the cars assigned to this judge — for example, 8 muscle cars including Dale's Camaro. Tap a car to start.

  2. Walk up to the car, scan the QR

Camera scans the windshield sticker. Confirms the right car — display number, year/make/model, owner thumbnail.

  3. Score each category

Five horizontal sliders, 0–10. Big numeric readout in 48px so the judge can read it standing up. Slider handles are 64px wide — easier than typing.

  4. Add notes (optional)

Notes go to the owner after the show. "Beautiful frame-off — the door gaps caught me off guard. Lovely work." Notes auto-save with the score.

  5. Save & next

One big button at the bottom. Save & next takes them back to the queue, the just-scored car drops off, on to the next.
